Melinda Hagemann

Melinda Hagemann serves as the Vice Chancellor for Advancement and Engagement at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. Since joining UCCS in 2012, Melinda has continually worked in partnership with the campus community and donors to propel the university forward. In her role as Vice Chancellor for Advancement and Engagement, she leads efforts to thoughtfully enhance philanthropic partnerships, deepen alumni and community engagement, and support initiatives that advance the university’s strategic priorities and connected partnerships to deliver strong fundraising and engagement results.

Melinda is inspired by the dedicated campus faculty and staff at UCCS who strive to open doors and make positive connections for students, alumni, and community members. As a former scholarship recipient, she is deeply passionate about expanding access to higher education through philanthropic support to expand opportunities for student success. With the majority of UCCS students balancing work, family, and education, access to financial support through scholarships or paid internships makes a strong difference in their ability to complete a degree and contribute back to the region.  

One of Melinda’s favorite campus activities is witnessing the collective joy and celebration at commencement each year.  

A longstanding resident of the Colorado Springs community, she enjoys the great hiking trails, arts, cultural, and sports activities the region offers. Melinda is a member of the Colorado Springs Chamber and EDC Board of Governors, the Association of Fundraising Professionals of Southern Colorado, and the Council for Advancement and Support of Education.  

Before working at UCCS, Melinda was an advertising manager for The Gazette in Colorado Springs. She holds a degree in Fine Arts from the University of New Mexico and is a graduate of Leadership Pikes Peak.
